The brief was to create a practical garage / storage space as well as a compact loft apartment. When adding new area to your home, a loft space can be a very efficient way to add the value of an additional bedroom / a work space. The existing house was really beautiful with a unique character, it was important that this new addition looked like a natural progression of the original design.
